Whilst it should be pointed out that most visits to Serbia are trouble free, regions in and around Kosovo should be avoided due to the ongoing threat of violence. Presevo and Bujanovac in the South of Serbia should also be avoided for the same reasons. Water from mains supplies is chlorinated, and though safe to drink it is recommended that bottled water is used instead. Immunisation against typhoid is sometimes recommended.
